Good Evening, I have an "issue" with Nvidia's Dynamic Super Resolution.
Let me explain, I do all my gaming on my Projector which is an Acer H5380BD that is capable of 1280x720 @120fps(NATIVE),
the Projector also supports 1920x1080 @60fps (NOT NATIVE)
My "issue" is that every time I use Nvidia's Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) my projector uses the 1080p resolution at 60fps (NOT NATIVE)
and my question is : Is there anyway that I can lock the resolution at 720p @120fps and upscale the image with DSR without
pushing the resolution to 1080p ? In other words I want to play at the projectors native resolution using the full 120fps with DSR on, but Nvidia automatically pushes
the resolution to 1080p.
Video Card is a GTX970
Thank you for your time ! :)

Hello !  HDMI

Hm, weird. It has an HDMI 1.4a connector, so it should be able to make use of a 1080p 120Hz signal and it's definitly not a problem of your graphics cards, as it supports HDMI 1.4 aswell. Could be the cable, but I don't think so, as most cables these dayssupport at least 1.4a aswell.

Have you tried to set a custom resolution in the NVidia Control Panel?

The projector is incapable of displaying 120fps @ 1080p, It can only do 720p @120fps. But is there a way to lock the resolution at 720p  ? so DSR can do his thing at that resolution so i can take advantage of the 120fps ?

What resolution are you setting your game to when using DSR?

I could be wrong but I believe DSR scales higher resolutions down to a minimum of 1080p. This is why it is forcing 1080p to the projector because that is what DSR is outputting. I don't believe it supports 720p.

I Start the game at 720p, when I use DSR (1440P) Nvidias Pushes the signal of 1080p to the projector.

If this is the case then is time to start looking for another projector. :(

I have this in my theater room on a 120" screen:

I love it. I use an Nvidia Shield TV to stream to it.

Do you have any experience with LED projectors ? Do you think it will be better because of the Bulb lifespan ? Your projector is exactly what I need but maybe there is a LED  version.

I don't have much experience with LED projectors. From what I heard DLP projectors had the best quality so thats why I went that route. The bulb will last about 2-3 years depending on usage. Replacements are only about $100 or so.

Real quick, is it possible for you to set your resolution in game to a multiple of 720p, or is it only limited to 1080p, 1440p, 4k?

I use 1440p and the problem persist.

Shit, I'm stupid. 1280x720, 1920x1080, 2560x1440 are all 16:9.

Before you go jumping out and grabbing a new projector try your same setup on a monitor or TV that supports 1080.

Sorry for the late response, I have 2 1680x1050 HP monitors that I use for work and both will go to 1080p when using DSR, my Sony tv will stay at 1080p when using DSR at 1440p. I think is Nvidia drivers that uses 1080p as a minimum resolution to jump higher resolutions with DSR.
