Okay so I've thought to myself that i want to upgrade my GPU to a better one since i recently upgraded my whole pc.

Specs:

i5 4690K

GA-Z97-HD3

N-Vidia - GT640 2GB

8GB's of G.Skill ram

I was thinking on upgrading to an R9 380 or 380X What would you guys recommend in this price range? of these 2 cards? or should i just get it. , most likely doing this upgrade next month!

The GTX 970 might be a better option, but if money doesn't matter, then go for the slightly expensive 380X

Nothing to see here ;)

where i live the 970 is about 100$ more then the r9 380x aswell.

i would go for the r9 380x if the price difference isnt too big between the r9 380x and the non x.

I can take a Zalman LE 500PSU but i think it would be a downgrade from 550W

It´s a downgrade in general. Try to get something that´s at least tier 4 from the list I posted.

I might save up after the GPU upgrade for a better PSU - Seasonic S12II - 620
