I'm curious as to why you're recommending the OCZ Trion 150 so much, this is the second thread I've seen you recommend it on. Personally, I'd recommend an 850 EVO as opposed to OCZ based on their past reputation and poor performance I got out of my Agility III. Not basing, genuinely curious.

EDIT: You also seem to default to the G2 series, while there are also many more great viable options on the market. Again, curious.

FX-8350 | GA-990FXA-UD3 | G.SKILL 2x8GB 1600MHz | 1TB WD RE4 | CM Hyper 212 EVO | MSI R9 290x Lightning | Corsair AX860i | Silverstone FT05B-W

Pentium G3258 | MSI Z97 PC Mate | G.SKILL 4x4GB 1066MHz | 500GB Samsung 2.5" | Stock cooler | Pending GPU | EVGA 500B | Antec DF-35

GoPro Hero 3 Silver | Netgear R7000 Nighthawk with DD-WRT | HP Officejet Pro 8610 | Canon iP110 | AudioTechnica ATR2500 USB

Downdraft cooler for mITX board (new build) | Desk mount mic stand | Pop filter | Anti-vibration mount for microphone | mITX case | 3rd monitor (matching existing 23.1" | Intel Core i7-4790K (for mITX build)

since Toshiba acquired them, OCZ's drive quality has improved substantialy. As a result they are now great alternatives to 850 evos. Nice and fast, cheaper, and now, just as stable.

EDIT: I suggest them because they're cheap and good. Seasonic, XFX, and Corsair also make great alternatives. I just think they're a good choice for most builds.

Fair, didn't know they were acquired. In that case, @ChilllToadd, go with the cheaper of the two imo (assuming the OCZ does perform on par)

shadow, I edited my previous post to include the PSU. Just curious as well

ChilllToadd (again), you shouldn't need a 650W, you should be plenty fine with a ~500W. Just a personal suggestion. My system pulls far more power than this does (8350 and R9 290x Lightning, the video card has similar power draw to the 980, processor pulls more than 6600K) and I'm not pulling 600W power.

Awesome :P thanks for the explanation, always wonder if there's a method to someone's madness when I see repetition like that.
