Asus ac66 router.

Hello i just got a asus ac66 router to make our network more future proof for new devices getting the most speed possible. And i was wondering how much preformance if any i would lose having it host a FTP server and having it act as a VPN server, My school is the obvious reason why i want to do that. They block reddit.

Why not just use a non self hosted VPN? There are some good ones out there.

 

Do you plan to connect to it wirelessly? Its better if you can use an ethernet cable.

 

I must say you are only bottlenecked by your internet speeds. How many devices are in your network?
