R9 390 cables?

 How many PCI-E  cables shuld use for my MSI R9 390 whit a 6 and a 8 pin conector?

 Can i use only one that splitts into 2x 8pin whit a loose 2 pin on each so it can be a 6 pin?

i use the 8pin and the other 8pin with 2 sticking out and works no problem.

So long as it is able to split in to an 8-pin and a 6-pin, or 2 8-pins, yes. Assuming you don't have a potato PSU, that is.
