So a friend of mine is planning on building a computer and he asked me to pull up a part list for him. He wants to mainly play WoW on ultra 60fps on a 1080p monitor.

I have another friend that is trying to sell an i5-3570k that has never been used but I thought it may be a bit overkill but if I can get the price down to close to this one, should I use that one instead? I was also thinking about getting him a GTX 950 but again, I'm not sure if that would be overkill or not.

WoW is pretty CPU intensive. I'd say you'd be better off with the i5.

You could also get a better motherboard and a beefier PSU. Do you really need the ODD? 750 Ti should be fine, but I'd be looking at a second hand 280x or similar

Currently playing WoW at 75 FPS (vsync cap) which drops into med-high 60s in denser areas and it does go as low as 40 when in the garrison or when capitals are really crowded (assuming it's because of some sort of CPU bottleneck rather than my GPU not being able to handle the load)
