Which combo to choose?

i5 6500 & gtx 980( Motherboard - MSI H110M PRO-VD)
OR
i5 6600k & gtx 970 ( Motherboard - ASrock Z170A-x1)
HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1tb 7,200 rpm
PSU- EVGA SuperNova 80+ gold fully modular 650w
CPU Cooler- CM Hyper 212x
Case - Deepcool Tesseract
Ram - 8gb Kingston HyperX Fury 2133 mhz(1*8) So that i can add another stick in future
Need to use it for atleast 5-6 yrs and its purely for gaming so 1080p 60fps low/medium/high/ultra any of them would do!

Use pc part picker.....

 

I'd get a r9 390 for 1080p gaming, also, why don't you go with a hyper 212 evo?

since gaming is not CPU reliant these days i would go with the 980 because it will last longer

I first decided to go with r9 390 but it has lot of driver issues and lots of other problems and i feal i wont be able to fix them

Thanks for the suggestion! Should i wait for pascal? will it cost the same as gtx 980?

i dont know much about pascal, and since its not released yet there are no benchmarks of it. but since its newer it will definitely last longer then older gen graphics cards
