Hello guys. I have been having a problem recently.

Currently, my internet at my home is not working, so I've been bringing my rig with me on the weekends to the place of my mom's boyfriend so that I can get some stuff done that I can't do without internet. This is usually just updating anything that needs updating and installing any software I need.

What I'm finding is that my network connection within the wifi network is randomly dropping, I have no internet access and I am unable to connect to the plex server on my phone until I toggle between automatic and custom DNS. It seems only my computer is affected, however I have never had issues on my home network where I usually stream a lot of movies and stuff to my phone from my PC if I'm not playing GTA V or Fallout.

I am using the Google DNS at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, and I am using an old Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6250 AGN wifi card that features WiMax capabilities. (I pulled it from a laptop back in 2013)

Does anyone know what may be affecting my network connection?

My procrastination is the bane of my existence.

I make games and stuff in my spare time.
