try the MoBo display ports, but the mouse not lighting up does suggest its a psu issue or a messed up board. What are the specs?

hmm, maybe it's a defective port. Try the mobo port or a different video out (hdmi, vga, displayport, which ever you aren't using)

also check your ram, switch the sticks out and make sure they are seated correctly, had this issue with a junker desktop a few weeks ago, PC wouldnt post, just changed out the ram and viola

Okay so after playing around a bit i tryed using the "broken" power supply without the graphics card and it worked fine, so its apparently the graphics card thats causing this problem. Is there any possible way to fix this?

can you use the MoBo ports with the graphics card?

It sounds like your psu is too low. What wattage was the other psu you tried?
