Started a few weeks back and happens every now and then maybe every few days to a week.

Windows task manager shows Memory at 98% - 100%.

- no real big memory users, doesn't seem like the numbers add up at all.

- Maybe 100 processes.

- Whenever I close large memory users like google chrome the number will drop say to 85% usage and then within 30 seconds climb back up.

I just noticed today that the disk usage was at 50% which was fine until I realized that was all disks, my c drive ssd was maxed at 100% as well. I don't know if it was like that before this is the first time I have looked into it so much. Again no clear culprit. Restart fixes it every times. I'm not sure where to start with this. On first inspection i don't see any weird processes.

Any ideas?

Running Windows 10? I had an issue with my SSD bogging down while doing nothing the other day, and just like you a restart fixed it.

I have no way to replicate it, so if you're on 10 as well maybe there's just something wonky somewhere? Do you recall if it happens mostly after updates are installed?

To be honest I think it started after I installed some updates but like I said this has been going on for 3 weeks or so.

Check for malware, check for suspicious processes/ background processes running in task manager in detailed view. Download Malware Bytes Anti Malware and then run a Anti virus or Internet Security suit like ESET NOD 32 . Can you post your hardware Specs and what type of programs you run.
