Sata devices not showing

Hello so i recently purchased an upgrade for my computer i replaced my horrible biostar TA970 for an msi 970 gaming motherboard for amd am3+ (fx-8320) (r9 280) (16gb ddr3 1866) and when i installed everything it posted just fine but when i went into the boot menu to setup my boot device (120gb ssd) it didnt show any of my sata devices at all.... Please help before i need to rma my mobo also i have tried diffrent sata cables and ports and power also the sata controller is enabled and in ahci mode in bios its just not showing any devices

Is your Boot SSD plugged into the lowest numbered SATA port on the motherboard?

I have tried every port and non have worked
