So, today my Gigabyte GA-P43-ES3G REV 1.1 arrived, it works, but my KVR800D2N6/4G x2 8GB DDR2 kit wont work with it, if you say it doesn't support the RAM, it is in the memory list. Now I've had problems with this RAM with my old mobo (G31M-S REV 2.0), because the motherboard said it supports it, but it didn't , it didn't even POST  . Now when I put my 8GB kit in the new mobo it posts, displays the Gigabyte logo then restarts, can't even enter BIOS, then I tried 8GB kit with my 2GB kit (Apacer something) together, didn't work, tried only 1 4GB stick , same results. I am pretty sure that this mobo isn't compatible with the RAM too, but I wanted to share it with you guys...

Have you run a thorough memtest on that RAM?  If it's not working now and you've had problems with it in the past, I would suspect some issue with the memory itself.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Are you positive that it's the RAM causing the problem? Did you try resetting the CMOS then trying to boot with 1 stick?

I don't think so because the sticks are two separate ones and they give same problems, will try memetest later.

It's the RAM because the PC fully works with my 2GB kit...

Sorry, I meant the actual hardware.  I was thinking a CMOS reset might get rid of some settings that were stopping the RAM from working like XMP for example.

Why no help people me....

I'm waiting to ses what the memtest turns up.  Based on other comments I'm even more convinced it is an issue with the RAM

I'm gonna have to do the test with one 4GB stick and one 1GB stick.

no, the whole point is to test the RAM that's causing issues.

I don't really know how memtest runs, does it run before windows, because I can't reach windows with 8GB kit or 4GB stick only.

You can launch it from GRUB, if you have Linux installed.  I think there may be other ways but I've never tried.

Ok sounds like you need new ram, but could you re explain the ram you have because your OP is extremely confusing and doesn't make sense.

From what I understand you have a 1x2 kit and that works with the new mobo and no crashes?

You have a 4x2 kit that gets to the bios but then restarts?

My 8gb kit doesn't even reach BIOS, it displays the Gigabyte logo and restarts endlessly. Sorry for confusing post, but this is a confusing topic so...

OK. Well take one of the 4gb sticks, and put it in slot 1 and see if it gets to bios if it doesn't put it in , slot 2 and try again  then slot 3 and then 4. If you still cant get to bios try the other stick and do the same steps. If you still cant get to bios I would replace the ram.
