So since the time I put in my new motherboard, every time I turn off my computer, the motherboard LEDs always stay on (Asus Z97 Pro Gamer) but just this morning I realized that the mouse and keyboard LEDs are on all the time while the PC is powered off. Also it takes like two minutes to turn all the way off when I flip the power supply switch. Any clue on what is happening? It used to happen to me a while back with a different system as well.

Some mobos allow power to USB while the system itself is powered off, and if it's a high quality mobo/PSU combo the capacitors could be doing their job and just taking a while to bleed out their power reserves.

Whats happening is that even thought the PC is off, there is still power in the system. Lights and components will stay on for the amount of time it takes the power to drain. As for the lights problem.... Are your peripherals wireless? If so unless you turn them off via the switch on the mouse or keyboard itself, the battery will keep it on until it dies. If wired i'm guessing your pc is:

A.) Not actually off but in a "Deep Sleep" or "Hibernate" mode. Check the power saving and shutdown settings on you computer to change that. those settings on mean it will take less time to boot/turn on after a while/

B.) It could be that the peripherals are plugged into "always on" USB ports. Check for those.
