Sound Card won't work

So my new sound card came in the mail today and I installed it in my computer and installed the drivers. At first everything was working fine but after the first reboot, the sound card stopped working. I checked all the cables and they are in their correct positions. What should I do? Disable On-board, try another slot, reseat, try in anothyer system. If all fails, RMA.

What ^ They said. Plus go into Windows Sound settings and make sure it's enabled as your default sound device.
