So I have recently went to use my mail app on Windows 10 when I realized that it wouldn't open. I did some research and found out that I could try wsreset.exe, and possible that would work... It didn't. I then tried the powershell commands I was following in a Solution fix online, and that didn't work. I also tried checking for updates & running the Windows App Store troubleshooter, nothing worked. I did realize after I did a couple of powershell commands, now my apps are not working completely. They now have a wierd wierd name to them... This is what it looks like - "@ {Microsoft.Windows.Photo..." and then random numbers after them. Any help is appreciated. I am not going to reinstall windows so please so not suggest that, and yes I can do a System Restore, but the last one I did was 2 weeks ago, which if needed I can restore.

Sorry, but there is a PowerShell command roaming the web, as a/the "solution". It screws up completely Universal App platform.

Your choice is to use System Restore, to bring back your system back in time. Or re-install Windows 10.

Your issue was most likely an anti-virus or security software that screws up Windows or folder permission issue.
