PG278Q. Getting this monitor now still worth it?

Zackfoo

Guys. I am going to get this monitor. Maybe, asking for opinions. Is getting this monitor at this time still worth it? I am getting a used unit the unit looks perfect. used for around a year and a half. price around 60% the original price. My country have weird 2nd hand pricing and don't wanna confuse u guys with the number so i put it as %.

So is it worth the price for a tn panel 144hz 1440p? or i should just save money for ips 1440p?

if its 2nd hand, make sure the condition is good before purchasing it

if its around the price of a normal 1440p monitor and the price is good, i dont see why not

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I would wait for IPS, also PG278Q has really strong anti-reflecting layer, which isn't pleasing for the eyes. The PG279Q's layer is much more pleasing.

im sincerely finding in ur sig what monitor u are using lol. i was looking at u2515h actually quite a lot more cheaper even comparing to used pg278q. is that a good choice? or i should just save and go all out for a xb271hu? stills saving money for new gpu also

I use the AOC Q2770PQU

The U2515h is great, though 25" can be slightly cramped at 1440p its very sharp and dell monitors are fantastic

the xb271hu is amazing especially as its 144hz

well i found a used unit around 30% cheaper than market price which is used for 5 months only, gonna get it. Anything i should be aware of buying used monitor? i know i should check for dead pixel and also scratches on the monitor that's for sure.
