A friend of mine just bought a Z50 - 80EC00KXUS from the local best buy. He got a super good deal but he was wondering if there was a way to replace the not so HD panel that is currently in the device for a 1080p panel. I don't have much time to surf the interwebs, so I thought what the hay i'll hit up the LTT forums to see if anyone has some information.

there really is not. As far as i know this laptop was never produced with a 1080p panel. Since laptop panel connectors and dimensions are almost always proprietary you most likely will not finde a replacement...

Edit: Also if you find a panel, you will probably destroy the laptop in the process of replacing the panel, due to the way it is mounted..
