Macbook pro SSD + HDD issue

Hey guys,

 

I just installed a SSD in my original HD location and removed the optical drive and moved my HDD there, I cloned everything and booted it up on the SSD. Everything works however I want to delete my HDD so i can turn that into my storage but when trying to erase in Disk Utility, It gives me an error. Any help will be appreciated

Late 2011 13" Macbook Pro

16gb ram

samsung 850 evo 500gb ssd

hitachi 750gb hhd

screenshot the error.... "an error" is just so vague....

Okay, reboot your mac into recovery and go to dick utility there and do it, 99% sure it will work

Run in terminal:

diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk2

 

Then attempt format again.
