I have a PC with a  EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB FTW ACX 2.0+ Video Card and Im running fallout 4 just fine. I want to be able to run fallout 4 on my second computer but dont know what amount of vram I need. I will probably not run much more than Fallout 4 on my second pc but I was wondering how much VRAM it takes to run fallout 4 at Low, Med, High and Ultra settings.

I Would Go With 8GB. 4Is Too Low For Fallout

Hmm... 4GB is plenty at  1080p or 1440p.

I'm going to assume that you are debating between a 2GB and 4GB GeForce GTX 960.  The 2GB model can definitely run Fallout 4.  The FPS is more affected by how powerful the chip is rather than how much VRAM is in the card.  It would always be a better choice to buy a 970 rather than a 4gb 960.

The 4GB 960 always seemed to cater to people who don't know what to look for in a video card IMO.

2GB will suffice but nothing wrong with a bit of a buffer in case plans change down the road. I've always been an advocate of buying the best that I can afford, even if I don't need it at this particular moment. This way I'm not constantly buying new hardware to try and keep up with my changing needs. I got a 4790k and a 980Ti with a Formula board from ASUS but I don't really overclock and my games aren't that demanding...but I like the extra performance because I'm contemplating much more intense games and possibly overclocking my stuff in the near future. So I'm set.

And I bought it a year and a half ago (well not the card, got that at launch). So I haven't needed a major change for awhile. Up to you ultimately, just my two cents.
