CPU Cooling

I need a very good cpu cooler for my Amd fx-8350. I am doing some overclocking and need it to do its job well. I have an Asus crosshair v formula z am3+ motherboard with 40mm tall ram sticks. I am looking at the noctua nh-d15s. Any cooler in that price range is acceptable. Thank you in advance.

Well if you are not in the market for water cooling then Noctua is highly recommended and that cooler will perform well under the highest overclocks you throw at it.

Some of the AMD boards recommend you get a downdraft cooler (i.e. CM Gemini M4) to assist in cooling the VRMs, might be worth checking out your manufacturer's page for that.

If you're up for watercooling and you have a case that supports 360mm radiators, then the Deepcool Captain 360 gives great performance for the money and the block looks badass too
