Film grain can be added in post though. Also the reason why is perhaps either the rolling shutter effect you get with CMOS sensors or the flare with bright lights on CCD sensors that gets film makers to use film.

@Lil Chillbil breaking bad the tv show? and how is it **** to work with?

I've worked with film before, many  times in fact I recently got rid of my L1 and Xl1 in exchange for a t3i, never gonna look back. Its the worst feeling in the world to hike 5 miles up a hill to shoot a scene and  then a crewmember forgets to pack in a tape. And then theres the importing into the pc or mac which is hell and takes real time to import

You can't really tell, unless the same scene is shot with a film camera and extreme digital and then watched side by side your brain just thinks its a different scene and thats why it looks different

@Lil Chillbil your answer contradicted itself you said "You can't really tell, unless the same scene is shot with a film camera and extreme digital and then watched side by side
then you said your brain just thinks its a different scene and thats why it looks different"????????
