SSD problem

Alright, so I recently upgraded my pc from a sandy bridged system to a skylake system, consisting of a intel i7 6700k , 16 gigs of ram, asus maximums ranger motherboard, 750 watt cross-hair power supply (gold rated) , intel 750 series pci ssd, gtx 780 TI,  (don't know if that is relevant or not towards the problem) ok so the problem is since my 750 series ssd doesn't have enough storage place (only 400 GB), I put in my old SSD in for redundancy storage, however, when I pulled it from my old pc (and it was perfectly working fine then at full speed) I put it into my new pc, and now it's really slow for some apparent reason. So does anyone know what the issue is, if it helps the SSD is sata based.

Note: I have also tried reformatting that drive multiple times, didn't help

Well it can be with the motherboard or with the ssd port or the windows install setup cant find the ssd Drivers so it can found it.

If this still not working i think it can be with the motherboard.

Hmm, I'll try to look for the drivers (I recently got windows 10) and this SSD is quite a few years old so probably that.

If that doesn't work I'll try to switch the USB port to see if I get higher speeds

Also ps: (Not my whole PC is slow, only my second storage device when I use it (which is the old SSD))

May Be the sdd your sdd Failling from this years.

Well you can buy a kingstong sdd driver this sdd what Linus is using on he's server.

Yeah but I doubt it would suddenly fail like that right after I transfer it over, (could be the case but I doubt it)

It's an OCZ vertex 2 ssd if that helps

do a secure erase

a quick format won't do squat
