Disk Formatting Help

Trying to format a disk using my PC, problem is, I can't even get it to show up in diskpart since the drive I am trying to format is formatted as gpt and mac os x extended (journaled) whereas my Windows install is formatted as mbr. I will probably end up making a live cd, but before I do that, any suggestions.

Using a USB, boot into linux and format from there

That's what I was planning on doing unless someone had another idea.

No...I had to do it....it's the best method

If its not in diskpart then windows probably isnt' seeing it. Diskpart can edit and show gpt drives.

Did you try Disk Management? It is labeled as "Create and Format Hard Disk Partitions" in the Control Panel (System and Security).
