Greetings.

Over the years, I've purchased a slew of books on the iTunes store and iBooks store, and have been reading them using either Kitabu on my now-ancient 2009 Macbook Pro, iBooks on my equally ancient iPod Touch 2nd gen (this broke a few years ago), and UB Reader on my Android phone. However, I haven't been able to find an equally simple reader for Windows. I tried Kindle, but unfortunately, it doesn't support the EPUB format and seems to be exclusive to MOBI and PDF formats.

Furthermore, I'm not interested in apps from the Windows store that use the WIndows 8.1 interface like Nook, as they are cumbersome to use and take up the whole screen at any given time (doubtless intended for Windows Mobile users).

I'm looking for a simple, easy-to-use, and clean reader app for Windows that supports the EPUB format and allowe me to organize my library- even if it is only to a small extent. Those of you who have used Kitabu for OSX will likely know what I have in mind.

Your recommendations are most appreciated.

Regards,
Aereldor.

Icecream ebook reader is pretty good. You could also try Calibre, it has a lot of features for managing your collection.

I have Calibre elsewhere, but the interface is a little more cluttered than I'd like. However, do you know of Calibre allows for me to change the formatting of a book? I have a few copies where the space between each paragraph is alarmingly large.

You can remove spacing between paragraphs by choosing the 'convert' option for the book, and going to 'Look & Feel' on the left.

I've used CDisplayX for comics mainly. I don't really read anything but PDFs and Adobe works just fine with those.

Does that display PDF documents in a double-page non-scrolling book format? I've a few PDF documents that I'd like to read as if they were books using my new monitor.

I'm not good person to answer that. Due low vision issues I always use page width on whole monitor or equivalent zoom. CDisplayX can view PDFs too and I just checked you can set it view two pages like on book. I don't know what you mean by non-scrolling in this case.

With Adobe I mean just default Acrobat reader which gives just what I need. Good zooming options :D
