So I've got a friend who has a MAC from 2009 and he wants to upgrade it. He uses it mainly for work. Right now he only has 2gb of RAM and a oversaturated 160gm HDD. He was going to buy this SSD : Silicon Power s60 240gb. I just wanted to know if you recommend that SSD and if he's going to need adapters for his mobo connectors?

When I recently upgraded my 2009 MacBook Pro, after my HDD crashed I replaced the original parts (Memory and HDD) with:

1. Crucial BX200 240GB SATA 2.5" 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD

2. Crucial (x2) 4GB DDR3-1066 SODIMM Memory for Mac

It was a quick replacement, so if I had more time, I could have considered other options. Also, I didn't plan on doing anything heavy-duty on the Mac, since I got a new laptop I use for work. However, the Mac's Boot-up time now is much faster, and I haven't had any major issues since these replacements.

*Also, I'm not a sponsor of Crucial, this is just what I thought had pretty good specs for the cost and what I needed. :)
