need help on cpu heatsink.

I suppose it could but if you have tall ram heatsinks, it might actually touch it.

According to this it can't fit due to incompatibility with the back of the mobo.

Noctua is right, but a forum member from Overclock.net has found a way around this by using a dremel to get the backplate to fit here's a link for more info http://www.overclock.net/t/1302509/official-asrock-z77e-itx-owners-club/1180
