Nah, 6600 has a locked down multiplier preventing you from overclocking. A 6600k is the same exact chip, but master Intel enabled overclocking allowing you to achieve more performance. Personally, I think it's worth the extra money for longevity purposes, assuming you are strictly gaming with this machine.
