Holiday Question

Hi guys!

 

I'm travelling out to Texas in a few weeks from the UK, first time I will have been in the US. I haven't been on many holidays abroad, but for this one my travel and accommodation is paid for. Is around $50 enough per day to go out for meals etc? The only big expenses is Wrestlemania 32 (tickets paid for) and shopping that I hope to do in the latter part of the holiday.

For one person, $50 a day should be enough assuming you plan on going out to a nice/decent restaurant at least twice (lunch and dinner).

It depends on the restaurant. You can go to a diner (think pub) and eat for like $10~ with tip and tax, or you can go to a nicer/non-expensive restaurant and spend $20~ for an entree, or to a fancy restaurant and spend $40-$100 (or more) on an entree.

I see. I'm hoping to go see some landmarks etc but I won't be going out every day I don't think, because I'll have to rest from the flight etc. But again, thanks for the helpful information
