random ping spikes

While playing online games or talking on skype, my ping would go around to 200 or over for example on LoL or CSGO and if I was talking on skype then the call would stop for a second, it is really annoying and hard to play when it happens like each 10 seconds, don't know why it does, I've got Sky Fibre internet. On my laptop i'm not getting any ping spikes.

are you using wifi? if you are, try connectining dirtecly to the router via Ethernet. 

It could also be that your router/modem is overheating and/or needs a firmware update.

I doubt it's my router since it is not happening to the other devices connected to it.

and I am using wifi, I've never had this issue, it started doing this recently, prob at the end of december.

maybe your wifi card in the laptop is going bad?. again, i'd reccomend trying Ethernet

it only happens when im playing LoL, don't know why. As soon as I play it, it lags massively. Other games? nope
