AUTOCAD super slow

Go to solution Solved by Josephdalepi,

faster processor

it is also hardware accelerated, so a graphics card will help massively

higher end cards will be even better

this is one ofg the applications that actually does benefit from things like titans an quadros, but basically any grpahics card will help a lot

thanks

by the way, a dual gpu card thats a few years old would be massively helpful for something like this

yeah but its a laptop.. so its probably gonna be a case of getting a new laptop which has a good gpu and processor , basically a gaming laptop i guess

yeah, basically

damn son

best option if hes doing something like this would be to build a desktop though

much better performance per dollar

he has to be mobile with it so a desktop wont be a good choice , we got an unused desktop which is kinda good , i just invited a new gpu fans to fix it cause they wont spin , so he would probably do AUTOCAD tasks in there until he gets a new laptop

that ones

its just that a laptop will take a lot more price for power

a 2000 dollar computer will wreck a 4000 dollar laptop

very definitely, but it is hardware accelerated so a gpu could help

Ye that is true... but I7 or xenon should be enough for autocad a average gpu something like lowest quardo or 270/950 would be enough.

i was simply pointing out that this is the sort of application that things like quadros, titans, and even teslas are made for
