gpu voltage stuck on minimum

didnt really know what to put as the title so i just put that, any way, every time i restart my computer my gpu voltage just sticks at 862mV even with the latest non beta drivers installed

asus gtx 960

only way to fix it is to reinstall the driver, any 1 know how to fix it other than needing to reinstall

voltage stays like that weather im running anything

the card won't use more voltage than it needs to, boot up a game or a benchmark and it should increase. (i should read the entire post before commenting)

 

well does it actually hamper anything? does the core clock increase under load? does you results not match the results of someone with similar specs?

it dramaticly decreases my fps in everything by 90%

a good example would be minecraft + shaders + a 128x texture pack, normaly i can run with ~40fps, when voltage is that low i can barly run it without extras and get a stable ~30

another would be space engineers with ~50-60 fps when its not stuck and ~10 when it is

and im guessing it would do the same for every other game i have in my steam library

maybe remove GPU tweak, see if that makes a difference. the fact you want to manually input something may be throwing it off.

even when i dont it still does it, some times when ive manually set the minimum voltage it kinda listens to me and ups the voltage to about 1v insted of 862mV

well 1V is 1000mV which is close to what the maximum min value you can set is.

max is 1.2 and ive set the min to 1.1 and 1 is the default min

I just looked up people with similar funky core clocks and voltages.

 

apparently what may work is uninstalling the card via device manager (since you have a chip with integrated graphics, the PC will still function fine). uninstall GPU software like GPU tweak. then restarting the PC, it should download a driver by itself, but download the latest driver again just in case. then try without any OC software (just to make sure it's working properly).

 

then in your case restart again and try again, see if you get the same result. if not. I don't think i can help you any further. other than maybe suggesting other OC software, MSI afterburner is a common choice (OC software doesn't care for the brand of the card)

the reason im using the asus 1 is because the card is asus

still no luck, tryed multiple times and was working fine for 3+ months
