Hello everyone! I'm making a new build inside of an EVGA Hadron Air mITX chassis. I need a GPU for the system and I have a choice of an EVGA GTX 970 FTW+ ACX 2.0+ for $270 lightly used or an Asus DirectCU ITX GTX 970 for $250 new. I really like the small size of the Asus one which would help with cable manegment, but would it lose in performance to the 970 a lot?

As far as i know, there's no significant difference between the two, the only thing different is is clock speed, being that the EVGA version is overclocked out of the box. I can't imagine that the ASUS card will overclock as well either, as it has a lower clock than most of the other 970's on the market. Personally I'd go for the ASUS card, as you are getting a new card that will fit your rig perfectly!

i5-6600k @ 4.9Ghz | Corsair H110i GTX + 2 x Noctua NF-A14's | ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger |

Corsair Venegance DDR4 8GB | ASUS GTX 970 Strix |Samsung 840 EVO 240GB + 1TB HDD |

Corsair RM850 | NZXT H440 Black | 2 x Noctua NF-F12 + Corsair AF-140

All 970´s overclock rather good. So do a little overclock by yourself and go for ASUS, if he ASUS fits your build better. But be aware that the small cooler might get an issue for oc poteniall.

As far as performance and OC goes, the EVGA is superior. But the Asus is prettier in terms of looks and size, as well as being cheaper, so take your pick.

Oh, and the Asus might come with a code for The Division, depending on where you'll get it from.

Asus, new card. I have Gigabyte, but in your case, length will make an issue. Go with Asus buddy.
