As of last night Chrome began causing system freezes that were only resolved by force shut downs. I noticed that it happened mainly when on a page using flash or any type of video but it also happened sometimes when I tried snapping the chrome tab to fit the screen. After some research online I tried disabling chromes flash plugin and installing flash to the system. This did not work so I tried editting the "local state" file in User>AppData>Local>Google>Chrome. This also failed to fix the issue. I decided to run ccleaner and wipe everything related to chrome but still the issue persisted after a reinstall.

Im at a loss as to what there is left to test or fix. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't use chrome personally as I don't like it. But you mentioned you wiped and re-installed, when you re-installed did you use the default settings for location of install? if so, maybe try altering it just a bit in case you're getting remanant settings left from other install... just something like chrome/2 for folder. Also, when you used ccleaner did you also clear out registry?

If it's flash, you might be able to reproduce the issue on other browsers like Firefox...  if Firefox crashes then try reinstalling Flash...

if it is flash at all.

Yes when I used ccleaner i did clear the registry but I need to try installing it into another directory. Weak1ings Im thinking that it may not be flash since i am now using Opera which is also a chromium browser. Thing is some video players dont work in opera like jw player so im trying to get chrome up and working again as soon as i can.
