I believe it wont work, unless you fins some software that will detect an input and direct it as a 7.1 output...

I have so many questions. What do you mean by "3.5"? 2.1, 5.1, and 7.1 refer to the number and types of speakers present. So for example, 2.1 is a left and right speaker with a subwoofer. 5.1 is a center, left, right speakers with two satellite speakers with the .1 being a subwoofer.

At first I thought you meant it was connecting with a 3.5 mm (heaphone) jack, but that doesn't line up with the headphones running through USB. I hope you can see why I am confused.

Can you provide the model of the headphones you're using?

Okay that made more sense. So I did some digging and I think I see a possible solution. I'll try and walk through it and give you the sources I'm seeing for this.

So the XBOX One has options for 5.1 and 7.1 audio through optical cable but those have to be enabled. See here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/configure-audio-settings

Using the sound card you showed earlier, which appears to have an optical audio input, the XBOX One could plug into the sound card.

Then using the Wireless USB Mix adapter, connect the computer wirelessly to your headphones. Seen here: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/Connect-the-G933-gaming-headset-to-compatible-devices#pc

The only potential problem I see here, outside of the fact that we're now creating multiple potential points of failure, is the software being used on the computer to play the 7.1 audio. Because the audio will be piped into the computer, but what software can interpret it and play it? I don't see anywhere on the Office Depot website that says if that sound card comes with any software nor do I see on Logitech's website if their gaming headset software will do that either.

So physically, you can connect everything, but that's only going to be the start of the troubleshooting as far as I can tell, because now it's a realm of unknown software (at least to my knowledge). I hope other people will join in and add to what I've found or can provide an alternate solution.

Umm the g993 has virtuel 7.1/5.1 and when it is not running the virtuel program then they just become normal stereo 2.0 headset...
