retrofiting old PC into streaming machine

hey good people out there!
1st, since it's my first post, i'd like to say hi

now the case: i have my old PC, and i'd like to retrofit it as a streaming PC, so i'd like to know Your opinion - is it going to be up for the task/are upgrades that i have in mind suffice?

it have ASUS p5q pro mobo, 6gb of ram (@667MHz), gf gts250 1gb, c2d with arctic cooling freezer 7, hdd and chieftec 450w psu, case is sharkoon rebel 9 value

now what i have in mind:
case stays, mobo stays, gpu stays (altho. if i am correct, streaming do not require decent gpu, so if i could change it for some passive cooled cheap one i'd be super happy (gf 210 is something i had in mind)), CPU - i'd like to upgrade to c2q q6600, cooling stays, as for storage - i have some 500gb hdds, so it'll do (can i raid mixed disks, mixed as in brands (seagate x wd), both are 500gb, 7200rpm and have same cashe?), i could add some ram also if i have to (do i?).

 

so what do you think?

Mostly looks good but you definitely should want to get 8 or 16 gbs of ram, preferably 16 for the best results.

and as im looking into the market, i dont think i can do 16gigs of ram, there are max of 2gb sticks of ddr2, so 8 is max

 

oh and ofcourse i'll need a capture card, so im planning for avermedia live gamer hd lite.
also focusrite scarlett solo studio pack (scarlett solo DAC and CM25 mic) + behringer xenyx 1002 mixer ^^

update:

i have the c2q q6600 :3 and i bought asus nvidia gt520 (1gb) also passive cooled (silence ftw) and waaay better than gt210  + 210 is only dx9 and the target capture card (avermedia live gamer hd) requires dx10.1c to work (at least so it is written in its specs). i have very hard time with the ram tho, i'd like to match my already installed 4gb of hyperx (i have 2x2gb hyperx + 2x1gb geil) but they are hard to get in a reasonable price ;D so i'm struggling (to be frank, for now i think 6gb will suffice, and i will hunt the 4gb set with patience)

i'm already cool with the audio - got myself some focusrite scarlet solo pack (so dac+mic) and a samson mxp124 mixer so i think i'm in a pretty good shape here ;d

i chose samson over behringer due to the overall experience of teh internet with said brands (and it has sliders also, not knobs only )

two things left - capture card, and a cam.

for cc, as i already said, i'm planning live gamer hd  (tho is there really a difference between this and lets say Game Broadcaster HD?)

for cam, i think of something like creative's live! connect or something along those lines

so, say your doubts, concerns and advises.
