The article was actually posted 5 days ago, i skimmed back 5 pages of forum posting and didn't see anything on it so I went ahead and posted.

A few stats according to the article:

Flagship chip- GP100

Max Transistors- up to 17 Billion

Compute Performance- 12 Tflops

MaxVram- 32gb HBM2

Max Bandwidth- 1 TB/S

 

They didn't have anything definitive listed regarding Price or Performance Increase, which is probably what everyone is most interested in lol. I personally am more into the science going behind what makes it possible, considering I'll probably never afford one lol.

agreeing... according to it they are going to use hbm2, but it was previously rumoured to be gddr5x (i think that is what it is called)

I've never heard of Volta...is that like supposedly next in line or is that something that already exists that they're going to update?

iirc it comes after pascal, yes

it does not exist now

We're just trying to get you to edit your post so it's up to standard according to the rules set by the mods/admins. They may lock your thread or move it if you don't end up editing it anyways.

It's Nvidia's projected architecture revision up next after Pascal.

Ok thank you, I was really trying to figure out if I was breaking any rules or anything. I'm glad I'm not. Like I said before That article was posted 5 days ago, I went 5 pages now without seeing a post about this. I'm going to assume it's fine, again if not I'm sure a moderator will correct me. Thanks for the help though.

 

Thank you everyone ,will be sure to shoot for an A next time. now let's start circling back to the actual article to which this thread was actually supposed to be about. If it's going to be deleted I'd rather it be for my format than this back and forward conversation about my format lol.
