Scissor Arm Mounting Solution

I currently have a cheap Neewer Scissor arm for my condenser microphone, which mounted fine on my old glass desk, but I recently got a new desk from Ikea (the micke desk), and I have noticed that this desk has no area to mount the clamp on my scissor arm, so I have resorted to using a stool on which my scissor arm holding my mic is mounted. Obviously this is a temporary solution. Does anyone know of any scissor arm that doesn't use the common clamping mount system because none of that will work on my desk. I am looking for a scissor arm that has a round base that could just sit on the desk. Thanks.

You should have bought a tabletop and legs instead. That way you can get exactly what you need, instead of whatever they happen to be offering.

Meanwhile, would something like this work if you drilled a hole into the desk?

I own and use, sorted from newest to oldest: SteelSeries 6Gv2. Microsoft SideWinder X4. Mionix Naos 7000. Zowie EC1 Evo. Microsoft SideWinder X8. Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. Dell U2414H. Samsung P2270H. AKG K273 Pro. Sennheiser HD555. Razer Goliathus Speed Medium. Func 1030 L. Qpad CT Medium.

I used to own: Razer DeathAdder 3G. Razer Krait. IntelliMouse Optical 1.1. SteelSeries QcK.

The reason why I didn't opt for a tabletop and legs is because I had my  heart set on getting it online from IKEA (don't know why) and shipping to my destination would've been over 300 usd for any of the suitable tabletop and leg solutions.
