Making a "Steam Machine" Type-PC

Is there anything I can swap out for equal or greater performance for around the same price range?
I have a spare EVGA GTX 560 I can use until the next set of GPUs are released if that would be better than purchasing one now.
I know the case is the most expensive portion of the build, but it's the only thing I am committed to purchasing. Everything else I would be fine with swapping out for other parts.

everything, well ... except for the case, SSD and HDD

2ndly, a 65W TDP cooler on a 95W TDP CPU ... hells no!

The factory BIOS doesn't support the CPU. You'll need a supported CPU to upgrade it. Here's the list at asrock.com Also, I don't know if SteamOS has a built-in fix for this but Asrock doesn't provide any Linux drivers at all for the board.
