My friend found a nice, free LGA 2011 board and gave it to me, but I don't have any 2011 CPUs lying around. Is there any way that I could test the board without a CPU to see if its dead? I know it wouldn't boot or anything, but would it go through a power cycle, or show any post codes?

MB: EVGA X79 Dark (150-SE-E789-K2)

I have a spare PSU, RAM, GPU and everything else if that helps.

Thanks!
