Hi, LTT Forums!

Yesterday, I've installed Linux Mint on my gaming PC, as I had 32-bit Windows before, and it was horrible.

So today, I tried to install Steam through the terminal. It worked fine, until I tried to boot it. The validating update tab stayed on my screen for a few seconds and then disappeared. It happens everytime.

When I try to boot it from the terminal with the command "steam", it doesn't work either.

Please help me, I need Steam!

I will attach few pictures of the terminal, so maybe some Linux tech savvy can figure out what the problem is.

Have a nice day, and thanks for coming here to help me.56c985a3eda02_Screenshotfrom2016-02-2110

From that information, i can gather it is crashing because it cannot get an asset. I'm haven't touched Linux, though it is increasingly becoming more popular.

Did you install steam from the software center?

if so, uninstall that version and reinstall it.
