Which GPU should I get?

Facundus

Hey guys, I've been thinking about getting a GPU for my PC, the thing is I don't know which one. I have an AMD A10 7850k, 8gb of DDR3 RAM at 1833 Mhz, an MSI A68HM-E33 V2 motherboard, and a 600W PSU. After doing some research I got stuck between an AMD Radeon R9 380 4GB, and a Radeon R9 290 4GB. I intend to do some serious gaming and I have around $400 to spend on said GPU. Which one would you choose? Would you choose a GPU that I didn't mention? I'm looking forward to your answers :)

A R9 290 is not a good option for an A10 7850k, the R9 290 will be bottlenecked.

A R9 380 is probably going to be fine.

I'd probably go with a used Tahiti Based GPU such as a HD 7950, R9 280, HD 7970 or R9 280x.

With a $400 budget you could even consider.. something.. a little more drastic but far superior.

Maybe a R9 380X is viable in this situation but definitely your apu is holding back high-premium tier graphics cards.

Well, if we're gonna bottleneck, we might as well go balls deep.

Also, I'm immediately assuming you own either a Corsair CX600 or an EVGA 600B.
