Linux backup? / snapshot

Is there a way to backup or take a snapshot of my linux so if i screw somthing up i can go back to where i am and everything is working?

You can create a disk image - https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/disk_cloning#Create_disk_image

If you're not sure which disk you should input as the source run 'sudo fdisk -l', this will show you all disks connected
