Looking at this mic kit: http://www.amazon.ca/Neewer%C2%AE-NW-700-Professional-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B00XOXRTX6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1455852518&sr=8-2&keywords=microphone , it says it need phantom power but then in the description it says it'll be fine if connected to a desktop and im a bit confused now. Do i need a phantom power adapter or not? I have a cx600m, enthoo luxe and a asus m5a97 r2.0 if that matters.

All condenser mics need phantom power.  Some models are dual powered which means they can be powered by a battery, an example is the Rode NTG2.

Amazon provides some of the worst product descriptions ever and is confusing. Condenser mics are best used with XLR -  XLR cables and an interface that is capable of providing phantom power.

And ignore whatever is written in the title about this mic being "professional".
