Does Gsync and higher resolution cut pc performance?

Remixt

I just got an Asus pg279q and its beautiful! However, I've had issues with it that don't really make any sense to me.

1. Games take MUCH longer to load in. I play League of Legends and with my old 1080p monitor plugged in my games load nearly instantly, but now it takes about 60 seconds for the loading screen to even come up.

2. Games crash when I alt tab even in windowed mode. This issue doesn't happen often, but when it does its also when I have curse voice up. It never happens on my old monitors.

3. Huge stuttering problems when I have my other two monitors hooked up (3 monitors total). When I'm playing a game and have my music open on youtube I get issues with stuttering. My FPS in league of legends says its about 130~ when I have all of this going but I keep seeing "Jumps" every few seconds.

I have a fairly high end gaming pc so I don't see why all these problems are happening. Is it a known issue with Gsync or something?

Higher resolution obviously requires more GPU power to render more pixels. G-sync however should not have a noticeable performance hit.

I wouldn't expect a 980Ti to have any problems running a MOBA at 2k though

check the driver, maybe do a fresh install and ensure all your power settings are "max performance"

YouTube videos (or other video playback) will cause issues if they are running visibly at the same time as a game. The other two things don't sound like they have anything to do with the monitor. If you did anything else around the same time as upgrading you monitor, try undoing that.
