I suggest changing the selected page color to a more darker color. The way it is now sometimes it's kinda an issue to notice which page is selected. I founds myself clicking on wrong pages multiple times on a daily basis , not sure about the others tho.

 

How about something like this?

I think @Cat :^) is already onto that issue. In mean time (and if you like), dark theme has much better contrast with page numbering while having issues in other places.
