For the longest time i have always used a wired headset. It first started out with the razer megalodon a 7.1 surround sound headset. Most of the time it was in default 2.0 as it said but, When i put music on 9/10 times i put it in 7.1, I had the headset tuned to my music preference so, 7.1 always sounded amazing, after about 2 and half years it started to die with razer discontinuing it so, I got the Logitech 930 wireless head set after seeing my close friend use it for over 2 years. I have never had more problems with a headset then this one, When i first got it i had to get drivers that i think were from 2013 and, It still doesn't always work, Other times the mic starts to cut in and out but, i do not know if that's the headset or skype also, When i put the mic up its suppose to mute which sometimes does it and, Sometimes doesn't. so right now i am looking to get a new wireless headset before this completely dies. Just to note i got this headset in December of last year so its only a few months old. My question is does anyone have a recommendation for a wireless headset under about 100 US dollars.

Yeah you need to put what 300$ down or so to get some decent wireless headphones like these http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-RS-185-Wireless-Headphone/dp/B00TOT9G1W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455879726&sr=8-1&keywords=rs+185

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

problem with the Sennheiser is that i am not a audiophile so they would be a waste on me.

Trust me you will notice the difference between the "gaming" headsets and the sennheiser headphones. the lower models are also pretty good

Once you try real headphones you will never go back to the "gaming" headsets

I have some cheap mics from china that I got for 0.8$ each and they sound better than the ones razer and steelseries put on their mid range products.

I have the Astro A50 Gen2.  No complaints here.

Expensive?  Yes.

Better sounding than my Seinheissers?  No.

Best wireless headset w/ a mic I could find that I can use for my PS4/XBOX1?  Probably.

A50s are very bass heavy on the media mode, but on the pro mode it's not bad whatsoever and I find myself using them more than my other headphones/headsets.

Very comfortable right out of the box.

If you do save up and get A50s for use with the PC make sure you have a soundcard that supports DDL or your onboard audio has DDL. (DDL = Dolby Digital Live)

It was either the newer Astro A50 or the Siberia 800.  I went with the A50s and have no regrets.

Good luck!
