Sorry what is your specific OS?

Example: Windows 10 64-bit

If that is your OS and the motherboard info you gave me is correct than these are drivers you want to install: http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170-AR/HelpDesk_Download/

Select your OS and click on LAN. Download that the only driver and the ethernet should work.

I fixed the problem, I had to uninstall the drivers I had installed, and then reinstall them through the link you gave me. Thanks!

I dont know if Im checking for them correctly. Where should I go to install them?

You were doing it right. Go to the motherboard website and then the support section and get LAN drivers.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

What motherboard do you have?(we need specifics) Go to the motherboard company, find the specific model, go to support and find the drivers download.

How do I find that lol

What you don't know the components of your computer? What chipset? What brand? You can take off your side panel and see what your motherboard is?

For example this is my motherboard in my system: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z170akraitgaming

I think a motherboard.

Ok. This is going to be a bit more complicated than i thought. Take a picture of the back of the pc (if you are using a desktop) and try to label the ethernet connection. Its fine if you dont.

Go to downloads and make sure you downloaded it. Don't use your wifi card. Connect your ethernet and try to google something to test your ethernt.

Ethernet doesn't even show up, that was the problem from the start
