*Wall of text inbount*

So today when I got home I updated the Rust server that I have running on my machine at home. I successfully updated the server and people were able to connect before and after the update. Then I attempted to get on ts3 with my freinds and my ts3 client couldn't connect to the server that they were on. My Skype, Steam and web browser were working just fine at the time. I tried to lookup a fix for the ts3 connection issue on google where I was met with a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET error from Chrome. I said okay, no big deal just need to fix my DNS settings. When I go to fix my DNS settings I noticed that I am connected to my second router in my house not the first and primary one that I am plugged into. The second router is SP_Booster and the First is UbeeDDW366. This really confused me because I am physically connected to the Ubee router/modem not the SP_Booster (which by the way is a Linksys E3200) I go into the Ubee web UI to see what is going on and I find that my PC is not listed in the DHCP clients list. So then I tried to connect to the web UI for the Linksys router and the connection times out. I then unplug my pc from the Ubee router and into the Linksys to attempt to get a look at the web UI. Windows doesn't recognize the connection and can't connect to the Internet from the Linksys router. I then grab my Wi-Fi dongle and plug it into my PC to see if I can connect to the Linksys via Wi-Fi, which I can and I see that the ip of the Linksys router is 192.168.0.21, which is an IP that was listed in the DHCP clients list on the Ubee router. So the Linksys router is connected to the Ubee router but when I use Ethernet to connect directly to the Linksys it fails. However when I connect to the Ubee router via Ethernet or Wi-Fi it moves the connection to the Linksys router. My problem is when I am connected to the Ubee router via ethernet my connection is moved to the Linksys router and my DNS settings get screwed up and even with manually entering the IP and DNS settings (using Google's DNSs btw) it still fails to load some things in my web browser and take multiple refreshes to get past the DNS errors that Chrome spits out. Is the Ubee router forwarding my connection to the Linksys router for some reason or is my PC responsible for the problem? How would I go about fixing this issue and getting my PC to connect to the Ubee router when directly connected to it via ethernet?

I am sorry for the huge anecdote/wall of text, I am just trying to provide as much seemingly relavent information about this issue so that you guys can understand and help me, hopefully.

Thanks!

Are you sure that the Linksys router is in AP mode or has the DHCP server disabled? Some of the things you say are happening can only happen if you're getting an IP address from the Linksys. Also, the ethernet connected to the Linksys - what port is it plugged into on the Linksys?

Looking to buy GTX690, other multi-GPU cards, or single-slot graphics cards:

The Linksys is not in AP mode, I just needed a to connect some stubborn devices on the other side of the house. I know that putting it in AP mode would be better but I needed a quick and cheap solution, the Linksys was just a spare router I had laying around. The DHCP server is enabled on both routers. As for the ethernet plugging into the Linksys, The first ethernet port on the Ubee is going to my PC and the second port is going to the "Internet" port on the Linksys.

As of right now (2/19) my PC still is calling the ethernet connection SP_Booster (even though it's plugged into the Ubee router) and the Ubee does't show me on the list of DHCP clients.

Last night I flushed all my ip settings from my PC (ipconfig /release,  /renew, /flushdns, and  netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt) Which seems to have fixed my problems with my DNS settings. Everything is running fine now and there is no problems other than my PC is calling my LAN connection "SP_Booster" and not "UbeeDDW366" and the Ubee router does not show my PC on the DHCP clients list.

From that it sounds like is that you have both routers on the same subnet and two DHCP servers on it two. You can't do this unless you need a redundancy set which needs higher grade equipment (homes do not need this).

The best thing to do would be to have the second router as a AP only, so disable DHCP server, NAT and firewall on it (or if there is a AP mode, IDK). Let the first router handle the NAT, firewall and DHCP server.

Another way of doing this is setting the two routers on different subnet (e.g. router0 is on 192.168.1.0/24 and router1 is on 192.168.2.0/24). Each doing NAT and firewall (you would not need firewall on the inner on) to the connection above and handling their own DHCP service.

Sorry if that does not make sense, I am not good at explaining but I hope it might help. :\

Thank you so much!

I changed the Linksys router to bridge mode, and rearranged the Ethernet configuration as directed by Linksys here. My PC is now on the DHCP list for the Ubee router and my static ip (192.168.0.11) is still static. My PC is still calling my wired connection to the Ubee router SP_Booster however I am actually connected to the Ubee router (as confirmed by the DHCP list). Both the main and booster routers are working properly and I do not see any problems with either connections. Thanks so much everyone!
