Max Temps?

Just curious as to what you guys thing the maximum temperature is for a MSI R9 270X HAWK. I max at about 81 degrees (with my radiator in the front of the case). I dont mind turning up fans if needed because my fans already run pretty loud

nevermind . But don't worry about it, you're far from the max temperature. If you're worried, take the cooler off, replace the thermal paste, and put it back on.

Its at 81 degrees because I moved my radiator to the front of my case for my CPU because it runs exceptionally hot at stock. With my radiator in the top it is like max 66 degrees

A max/dangerous temperature for a GPU would be anything above 100°C IMO.

A radiator should not cause that much heat. Make sure your case has good airflow to the GPU. Trust me, your CPU will not make your GPU 15°C hotter.

Well with my radiator in the top of my case it maxes out at 66 degrees and in the front it is at 81 degrees. usually 75 though. You also have to keep in mind im riunning a AMD processor overclocked quite a bit

Again, make sure that even with the rad in front, you have good airflow to the parts. A recent JayzTwoCents video is where I got my information, and that was on an overclocked i7. It shouldn't change temps much if at all.

Part of it was i was running Intel Burn Test (to get in temps for my OC) and the Heaven Benchmark just to get worst-case scenario temperatures

That's quite hot for a Southern Islands card, if you don't mind the noise set a custom fan curve to keep the temp down.

I just did. It goes to about 70% RPM at 45 degrees up to 80% RPM at 80 degrees

He used Aida 64 and Heaven at the same time to get his temps.

Is it to loud to push that to 100%, and preferably at 75°C.

yeah. 70% is just before it gets to a noticeable difference

because my cpu gets SUPER hot when its up there. Like theres a 15-20 degree dfference from the top of the case and in the front

I got the Asus one. Max. peak of 79 Degrees while having the fans never above 60%. You should be fine, as long as i dont runs at that temperature 24/7.

You could try undervolting your card and see if it remains stable.

I will go in the 80 degree range at 4.3 up in the top and about 75 degrees at 4.5 in the front

Yeah autocorrect turned it to undervaluing instead of undervolting, it's basically seeing if your card can run at a lower voltage with the same clock speed.
