Unable to adjust voltage manually?

So, I'm trying to OC my 4790K to (about) 5 GHz on an Asus Maximus VII Hero. I tried adjusting voltage manually by going to "Core Voltage" in the BIOS and setting it to manual. When I try to type in a voltage, nothing happens. I tried pressing + and -, that just cycles the different voltage modes (auto, manual, offset, adaptive). Any ideas on what I can do? I'm stuck with using auto voltage at the moment. (1.35v @ 4.7 GHz is way too high IMO)

I have the 4790k and Maximus VII hero, the voltage is labeled under "vcore" 

 

BTW I really dont think you'll get 5ghz unless you're using some really high voltages.

I'll look for that label then, thanks!

It's stable at 4.8 GHz 1.37v, but I think I can get away with at least 4.9 GHz with less voltage than that.

Mine is running at 4.6 on 1.235v, I doubt you'll get away with less than 1.37 on 4.9ghz

There's always trying. I was thinking 1.35 for 4.9 GHz. I'll see what I can get.

Do the best you can, you never know if you won the silicon lottery or not until you do it.
